12th edition of annual blood drive at Woodstock Poland

2017-08-09 12:23:55

Blood banks and, as a consequence, hospitals suffer blood shortages during the summer months. Holidays, travel, adventure - people often forego donating blood in favour of enjoying their free time. That's why Woodstock Festival Poland and its responsible, community-minded guests seem to be the last resort for local blood banks.

That is why staff from Zielona Góra and Poznań established mobile blood collection tents in the vicinity of the festival grounds and they have welcomed 1928 people willing to donate blood. Out of them, 1576 people have donated blood and the organisers have collected over 700 litres of blood. It is very important to note that people who decided to donate blood made a responsible choice to avoid drinking alcohol and prepare themselves to donate blood.

We would like to thank them for their invaluable help!
