The main area of the Foundation's activity is medicine and saving lives of the youngest of patients as well as improving the conditions in geriatric wards across the county. However, in July of 2010 we have held a day-long public fundraiser in aid of voluntary fire departments in Poland. In 2010 the southern part of the country has been seriously affected by tragic floods, and we intended to purchase equipment which would help those on the first line of defence against the destructive force of nature.
At this one-of-kind summer Finale we have managed to raise 2.644.507,34 PLN and these funds were used to purchase equipment for voluntary fire departments. We decided to equip these units in devices which are necessary to combat the effects of flooding.
Last week, a training course for candidates certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) and applying to become GOCC instructors took place at the Szadowo-Młyn GOCC Training Centre as part of the "CPR for Schools" educational program.
