The annual international fundraiser, known as the Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (try saying it 3 times really quickly) is a massive undertaking. This time we play to ensure that all newborn babies in Poland have equal access to medical care. 26th Grand Finale fundraiser will take place - both across the country and abroad on Sunday, 14.01.2018.
We will soon be launching registration procedures for Collection Centres and we will open enrollment procedures for volunteers. Would you like to join the 120 000 amazing people fundraising to help save children's lives?
How to volunteer at the Grand Finale?
Stay tuned - we will be publishing a list of all local Collection Centres (regional organizations which coordinate our fundraiser locally) on our website. The best course of action is to get in touch with the nearest Collection Centre and apply to volunteer with them. The staff at the Collection Centre will guide you through the online registration process and provide you with everything you need to play your part in the Grand Finale - your volunteer's ID, colourful Collection Box and a set of red heart stickers.
Information about the particulars of financial accounts and principles governing fundraising will be provided by the team at the Collection Centre. Before applying, make sure to read Volunteer's Code of Conduct!
What will the day of the Grand Finale look for a volunteer?
First things first - you can collect money on the day of the Grand Finale only. The only exception to this rule are volunteers helping to organise the so-called 'Closed Event' - an event organised by a Collection Centre, which can take place between December 15th, 2017 and January 14th, 2018.
Please remember that we don't run a door-to-door fundraiser! We raise money in public spaces - streets, marketplaces, sometimes - provided that we have the permission from owners - large malls and other areas open to the public. You should be polite and bear in mind that people you meet will associate this massive initiative with you - make us proud! You also shouldn't force anyone to donate to our cause.
Another important thing to consider is your own safety. Obviously, there is power in numbers and that' why you shouldn't fundraise alone, even more so if you are underage. Please make sure that you are collecting money in a group, accompanied by an older friend or guardian. Let's look out for each other!
