Today we celebrate the Ophthalmology Day
On 9 May in Poland, we celebrate the Ophthalmologists and Ophthalmology Day – a very special date for the GOCC Foundation. Since 2001 we have run the Prevention of Retinopathy of Prematurity Programme!
We will be accepting applications from the crews at the Collection Centres until Monday, November the 21st. If you would like to be a part of the our anniversary fundraiser, there is no time to waste! The applications can be send to us via post, or handed in personally. Setting up a Collection Centre is just one of the ways you can get involved in the fun.
First of all, you can set up a Collection Centre and coordinate volunteers fundraising in your local area. The Collection Centres usually hold different accompanying events such as concerts or artistic performances - your creativity and resources are the limit. Second option, best suited for business owners, is setting up a Collection Box on your premises - be it a shop, or a beauty parlor - somewhere where people visiting your office, or shop can donate money. Another way of fundraising is holding an event, such as a concert, a stand up show, or any other performance, or a workshop, a race, or a class - the people taking part in such event would donate money to the charity instead of purchasing tickets or entry passes. You have to decide what best suits you and your resources and then familiarize yourself with all information about holding the fundraiser.
Once you know what you want to be involved in there's no time to waste: you are just six steps away from establishing your own Collection Centre:

As you already know, we play with everyone and for everyone. What is more, in Warsaw we play in a totally new location! For the first time ever the heart of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will be beating at the PGE Narodowy meadows.
The GOCC Foundation has just completed the three-day-long 66th Open Tender held to buy medical equipment for the fight against sepsis. The Foundation spent a record-breaking amount of PLN 168 million!
