The declared amount at the end of the 32nd Grand Finale day was PLN 175,426,813. Today, we have achieved the expected result in our fundraiser's account. However, it is not over yet. We continue to tally the funds. The final result will be revealed on 27 March!
The 32nd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity was held as planned on 28 January in Poland and all around the world - 100 out of 1,685 Collection Centres registered to "play" (fundraise) with us, were located abroad! There were as many as 120,000 volunteers who hit the streets on the day of the Grand Finale, wearing their Volunteer IDs and holding the colourful Collection Boxes in their hands. The 32nd Grand Finale of the GOCC was dedicated to raising funds to purchase equipment for diagnosing, monitoring, and rehabilitating pulmonary diseases in both children and adults.
What makes up the total amount announced at the end of the Grand Finale day? The total amount of online contributions and donations pledged by our partners. Even though we call it a one-day fundraiser, some ways of supporting our mission remain active until the end of February (you can still donate online via our website). It also takes time for all our Collection Centres to tally up their collections. The declared result and the final result of each annual fundraiser tend to differ.
Once we reach the declared amount of the Grand Finale fundraiser in our bank account, the online counter on the main website stops. It will be updated as soon as we announce the final result on 27 March!
Last year's 31st Grand Finale ended with a declared result of PLN 154,606,764, but the final result revealed on 31 March amounted to PLN 243,259,387.25. This year's declared amount is 20 million PLN higher than last year's. What will be the final outcome of the 32nd Grand Finale? Stay tuned! And join us online on 27 March!

On 9 May in Poland, we celebrate the Ophthalmologists and Ophthalmology Day – a very special date for the GOCC Foundation. Since 2001 we have run the Prevention of Retinopathy of Prematurity Programme!
Traditionally, on Fridays just before the Grand Finale fundraiser, the GOCC Foundation hosts a press conference to sum up the preparations for the annual collection. Jurek Owsiak will present all our initiatives, actions, and activities as we prepare to celebrate another edition of the joyous celebration of kindness!
