Get Even with Diabetes Run – virtual edition!

 

Hundreds of participants wearing our original orange T-shirts? It's a signature feature of our "Get Even with Diabetes" Run! We will hold the 18th stationary edition of the run in the streets of Warsaw on 28 January. However, the virtual run starts today! You can still register online and add your time to the pool!

 

What is the virtual run? It's not a digital race you need to complete on your electronic device screen. The main idea is that you can register online and complete the 5 km distance at any time and location between January 22nd and 28th, 2024. You can share your results in our mobile app with other participants. If any of your New Year's resolutions included any of the following keywords: "active", "sport", "health", or "being fit" - we offer you some extra motivation! Join our initiative and run for a good cause!

 

The 18th edition of the Get Even with Diabetes Run during the Grand Finale fundraiser!

 

There are three ways to participate in the "Get Even with Diabetes" Run organized as part of the 32nd Grand Finale programme:

• take part in the stationary run through the streets of Warsaw. It will take place on 28 January 2024 at noon – the registration has now ended
• sign up for the virtual run. The participant indicates the date and time as well as the place of the 5K run (it has to be sometime between 22 and 28 January 2024) – you may still register online
• join the run organized by your local Collection Centre. The Collection Centres individually organize the registration procedure for local events.

 

You can still register for the virtual run through the SlotMarket.pl platform. The organizer of the run is traditionally Sport Evolution.

The participants of the run support the GOCC Get Even with Diabetes medical programme. It aims to help ensure that women with diabetes can have a safe, healthy pregnancy and give birth to healthy children despite their illness. The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has purchased 1,892 modern personal insulin pumps available for rent at 38 medical facilities nationwide.

• The starter pack for the virtual run can be purchased until 28 January
• Starter packs are delivered to all the participants and include the signature orange T-shirt, buff and a medal. The participants of the Warsaw run also receive their participant numbers.
• If you want your final distance to be recorded in our app, join the challenge on the IM Inspiration platform.
• Dawtona is the main sponsor of the event. Dawtona is a producer of vegetable and fruit products and supports the Get Even with Diabetes programme.

 

During the 31st Grand Finale, more than 11,000 people from 11 different countries took part in the event. In total, all the runners covered a distance of 56,000 km.
