Jurek Owsiak and the team representing the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity visited with the city council of Gorzów Wielkopolski to take part in the official unveiling of the new name of a brand-new roundabout. We are delighted that the members of the local government decided to honour our charitable work with such a tangible gesture. The members of the council wanted to express their appreciation for the commitment of all volunteers involved in our fundraiser and to express the gratitude for all equipment our charity has donated to the local hospital.
Overall, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has donated equipment for over PLN 14 000 000 (over EUR 3 000000). Medical devices gifted by our charity include MRI scanner with anaesthesia features as well as a cardiac monitor worth over PLN 8 500 000. The hospital has also received modern X-ray machine for PLN 1 300 000, hospital furniture including beds and bedside cabinets, anti-bedsore matrasses, and hearing testing tools.
Five days before the 32nd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, we visited the 'Pomnik - Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka' (Children's Memorial Health Institute) to ceremoniously inaugurate the first Ophthalmic Simulation Laboratory in Europe dedicated exclusively to the field of peadiatric ophthalmology.

Lidia Niedźwiedzka-Owsiak, who is the director of the medical division of the GOCC Foundation, was awarded an Honoris Causa at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences. This recognition was given in appreciation of her commitment to upholding the highest standards in healthcare.
