Each year we finish the day of the Grand Finale fundraiser with a preliminary amount of money we collected in aid of our charity. The sum is preliminary because it is based on the estimated amount raised by our volunteers, our online auctions and other means of support.
The competition was meant to advertise the idea of teaching CPR in primary schools and serve as an incentive for teachers to enrich their CPR lessons. We wanted to see how many schools would engage in something that is different and required more effort on their part. The competition was divided into three parts. First was all about the arts - children were to send us a work of art related to first aid. The final challenge combined CPR knowledge and other vital skills such as calling for help.
