Retinopathy of prematurity is serious condition of retina caused by premature birth, which, when untreated, can lead to loss of eyesight. 11,4% of cases of loss of eyesight in children in Poland are caused by retinopathy of prematurity. To put matters simply, if a child is born too early, its retina is not developed completely and the risk of losing eyesight caused by retinopathy is consequently higher. Cultural exchange in check!

Last weekend we managed to complete a project that we have been working on together with the Polish community living in Scotland for several years. The GOCC Foundation has its own tartan! On Sunday, during a special visit to Scotland, Jerzy Owsiak received a brand new kilt.
