Our first virtual edition of the “Get Even with Diabetes Run” responded to the challenge posed by the pandemic and lockdown. We wanted to create an event that is accessible to all, open, and still safe for the participants, standing for the core ideas behind the run: promotion of a healthy lifestyle and community spirit. We also wanted to raise as much money as possible to aid one of our medical initiatives – a programme that provides free personal insulin pumps for pregnant women with diabetes.
The first edition proved also the reach of new technologies and their power to unite people, regardless of the time zone. We decided to continue this new tradition of ours. The virtual run allows anyone who registers on our platform and pays a participation fee of PLN 85 (+ delivery fee) to participate in the run and contribute to the purchase of personal insulin pumps.

Anyone can participate in our virtual run - provided that you sign up with our running platform so that we can count the distance you managed to cover.
Key information:
- The basic contribution to support the aim of the charitable run is PLN 85 + shipping cost (in Poland - free, abroad - PLN 150).

- If you would like to receive an invoice, please fill in the form (available in Polish).
- The main sponsor of the event is Dawtona.
Please note! If you sign up for the virtual run, you will not be allowed to participate in the Warsaw race due to safety and logistics reasons.

Does each member of my family team need to create a separate account?
You can take part in a "family run" where up to 5 participants can be signed up using one account. If in doubt, please send an email to [email protected]

Can I register my company team?
You can register your company team to take part in the charitable race by filling in the form.
Should you have any questions regarding an invoice (for 3+ participants), please contact us at [email protected]. We first issue a pro forma invoice with a due date: 7 days. We issue pro forma invoices until 12 January. After the invoice is paid, we send the run packages according to the information provided in the form.
(Please note: the invoice does not list the delivery fee (free deliveries in Poland) and charitable, extra donations (over PLN 85/person).

Where will you publish the list of participants?
We're not publishing a list of participants. You can check the status of your registration for the run through your SlotMarket account.

Can I transfer my slot to someone else?
Unfortunately, you cannot transfer your slot to anyone.

Can I choose T-shirt size?
Yes, you can do it while registering for the run.

Can I use Nordic walking sticks?
Yes, of course! You can run, jump, hop, rollerskate - as long as you cover a distance of 5km.

I registered for the virtual run. I would like to take part in the stationary run in Warsaw. Can I transfer my slot?
Yes, it will be possible until 12 January 2025, given that your starter pack has not been sent yet and that there are still available slots for the run in Warsaw. Please contact us at [email protected] to receive a special code.
