Hospitals in Poland are struggling with equipment shortages as the cases of coronavirus patients are on the rise. The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity took up emergency action to address some of the most desperate needs of public healthcare in the country.

The board of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation decided to make an emergency purchase of hospital beds to support the national healthcare system in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Poland. Beds will be donated to hospitals tasked with creating wards for COVID-19 patients.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has oficially summed up its activities and support of Polish healthcare which aimed to address coronavirus pandemic in Poland. Our charity has donated medical equipment for PLN 48 000 000.

Lab equipment for testing and diagnosing coronavirus in Poland reached laboratories in Warsaw, Łódź and Poznań. Devices bought by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation allow lab personnel to test approximately 2 304 samples a day.

Twenty-five portable ultrasonography sets donated by Philips Polska arrived at the headquarters of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation. These devices will be sent to isolation hospitals, which treat COVID-19 patients.

The second batch of PPE for frontline medical staff reached Poland on Saturday. 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 12.5 tonnes of protective coveralls touched down in Warsaw.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity bought equipment for four laboratories testing coronavirus samples. Lab equipment worth almost PLN 10.5 million (over EUR 2 300 000) will be donated to laboratories in Warsaw, Łódź, and Poznań. Plane carrying 11 tonnes of personal protection equipment for medical staff working on the frontline of the battle with coronavirus pandemic touched down in Warsaw last night.

Our charity signed a contract for the purchase of more protective equipment for frontline medical workers. We ordered 50 000 coveralls, brining the sum we allocated for COVID-19 Relief Initiative to PLN 30 000 000.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is committed to helping hospitals tasked with caring for patients infected with coronavirus in Poland. We secured the purchase of an additional 10 ventilators and 50 ICU beds for public hospitals.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is making additional purchases for Polish hospitals. Amid COVID-19 pandemic, we are donating personal protective equipment - masks and face shields for medical staff nationwide.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation was able to secure the purchase of 37 ventilators for hospitals treating COVID-19 patients in Poland. The equipment was purchased for almost PLN 2 500 000 (EUR 540 000).
