The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation purchased 50 000 sets of PPE containing coveralls, medical-grade facemasks, goggles, foot covers, and a bag for biological waste early this April in order to meet the rising needs of frontline staff. While the first batch of PPE, containing 10 000 coveralls reached Poland already the flight carrying the remaining 40 000 coveralls touched down in Warsaw this Saturday. The transport was made possible thanks to the national "Cargo for Poland" initiative and thanks to the dedication of the staff on board the place.
The cargo, weighing 12.5 tons will go through the appropriate customs process and will be then shipped to ambulance stations nationwide.
It's happening again, a new shipment of PPE for frontline medical staff touched down in Warsaw today. This time the entire plane was taken by protective coveralls for medical staff. We are not slowing down our process of providing help to the paramedics and other frontline medical workers in Poland. The first transport has already been delivered to hospitals and ambulance stations nationwide. I would like to extend my warmest thanks to the people working at PLL LOt and LOT Cargo who made these transports possible! says Jurek Owsiak, chairman of the board of the GOCC Foundation.
