On 14 December 1990, the United Nations General Assembly designated October 1st, as the International Day of Older Persons. The day serves to remind us about the needs of older persons.

Between 2013 and 2017 he Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation donated equipment for over PLN 99 000 000 in aid of one of the most neglected and underfunded branches of medicine - geriatrics. Today, as we celebrate the International Day of Older Persons we look back on the ways in which we supported the elderly patients.

The team representing the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation has visited the hospital in Biała Podlaska, where they were especially impressed with the local initiative of "home hospital" - a unique medical facility, which makes patients feel at home and even makes it possible for them to receive medical care in their homes.
