Thank you for volunteering!

Do you know that you are making the world a better place? We appreciate your commitment and the work you do!

Begin your adventure

First of all - find your local Collection Centre! People actively involved in activities there are responsible for holding the fundraiser in your area, so it's best to get in touch with them.

The team at the  Collection Centre will register you in our database, and provide you with an ID card and your Collection Box - just a w few necessities you will need to begin your adventure at the Grand Finale Fundraiser! In turn, you should read and make sure to follow the Volunteer's Code of Practice 2019!

Please bear in mind that Collection Centre can register a limited number of volunteers, so you need to carefully consider if you would be able to contribute to the work on the day of the Grand Finale. If you are not going to be able to devote your time on the day of the Grand Finale, don't worry. You can still help the Collection Centre organise the work before the main event - there's plenty to do before the fundraising party takes over the country.

How to register to volunteer?

The first step would be to check online for your local Collection Centre. A list, which contains contact information, location, and the method they use to recruit volunteers. This year the Collection Centres can draft volunteers either online or on its offices

  • online recruitment - you select your local Collection Centre and fill in an application form available at wolontariusze.wosp.org.pl. If you are not 18 years old yet, you should ask your parent or a legal guardian to help you and set up an account of a volunteer's guardian.
  •  recruitment in the Collection Centre office - our tried and tested 'analogue' volunteer recruitment method. It requires you to visit the Collection Centre in person and fill in the required forms on site.

Some Collection Centres decided to use digital tokens as a volunteer recruitment method.

What is a TOKEN?

Some Collection Centres choose to use digital TOKEN. How to register using a TOKEN?

  1. You will receive a digital token from the Collection Centre of your choice. A token is a string of numbers.
  2. Register online at iwolontariusz.wosp.org.pl - set up an account and add a picture.
  3. Log into your account and enter token into the search bar. The search will bring up your Collection Centre - now it's time to apply.
  4. Your picture quality will be verified by the staff at the Foundation.
  5. Get in touch with the Collection Centre, so they could verify your data.

These application methods are addressed to adult volunteers. If you are underage, your legal guardian needs to set up a separate account on our website and fill in the appropriate forms and permits.

Your Grand Finale work

You have been registered in a Collection Centre, you have your ID badge and your Collection Box is marked and secured. You have stocked up on little red heart stickers to hand out to people who have contributed to the cause. Obviously, you have familiarised yourself with the Volunteer's Code of Practice 2019. You are now ready to become a part of the Great Orchestra and play your part in the Grand Finale!

Money you raised

Our drive is a day-long initiative, but you can take your Collection Box back to the Collection Centre at any time if you are tired, or if your Collection Box got wet or is full of money. Once back in the Collection Centre, you should make sure that the money is counted by the person responsible - the funds raised by you should be counted in your presence and the amount you have collected should be registered on a list - a ledger. Your signature on the list means that you have been informed of the amount you managed to raise and that the sum noted by on the list is confirmed by you.

You will receive a separate document listing the amount you have raised from the Chief of your Collection Centre. We call this document a collection balance sheet and it serves to acknowledge your participation in the charitable collection. Due to a number of people who volunteer with us, we are unable to send additional confirmations of voluntary service.

Your safety is essential

Another important thing to bear in mind is your own safety. Ask your friends to join you, and if you are under 16 years of age, you have to be accompanied by an adult when collecting money during the Grand Finale. You need to provide your Collection Centre with your adult guardian's contact details as well and your guardian needs to create a separate account.
