Today we observe World Prematurity Day, which is meant to raise awareness about preterm birth and medical implications and research behind saving prematurely born babies. We aim to purchase equipment which helps save tiny newborns.

Leaps in medicine, doctors' and nurses' dedication - and access to the best available equipment, donated by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation allowed for a successful operation on a tiny newborn baby.

The Foundation has been supporting public medicine in Poland for 25 years, purchasing over 36 thousand pieces of equipment. The estimated worth of this equipment amounts to 720 000 000 PLN.

The adorable little rascal was born in 28th week of pregnancy. His mum remembers that the boy was so tiny she could fit him in the palm of her hand...but look at him now!
