Newborn weighing 500 gram saved by doctors!

2017-11-09 10:49:37

Surgeons, neonatology specialists, paediatrists, anesthesiologists from a hospital in Ostrów supported by a dedicated team of neonatal nurses have successfully operated on a prematurely born little girl, who has been born weighing only 500 grams. The operation required specialized equipment such as microsurgical tools and magnifying glasses and hybrid incubator, which ensured permanent temperature.

The incubator used during this miraculous surgery has been gifted to the hospital by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity foundation. This sophisticated machine has been donated to the hospital by the charity in May 2017. The Foundation has also provided the equipment for this hospital 12 years ago when a different incubator has been delivered to the neonatological ward.
