Dawtona is a well-known food manufacturer - producing a range of great fruit and vegetable products, such as fresh vegetable and fruit juices, soups, and condiments. Next year they will be teaming up with our charity to help us hold the best charitable collection yet - the 26th edition of the Grand Finale!
We will come together on 14th January 2018 to raise money for our cause - we 'play' to ensure that all newborns in Poland have equal access to medical care - regardless of where they were born.
Our sponsor has also released a range of delicious tomato juices - bottles are not only branded with our heart-shaped logo but also containing all nutrition information for diabetics. The information is essential for people suffering from diabetes to calculate how much insulin to take after eating, and it is included on food packaging as a part of our 'Get Even with Diabetes' campaign.
One of the traditional elements of our Grand Finale charitable collection is the family-friendly 5K GOCC Run. The race, which advocates a healthy lifestyle and aims to raise awareness of diabetes. All proceeds from the sale of runners' packs go toward financing two charitable initiatives of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation - this year the 5000 runners strong race will be held to support our educational initiative and to purchase personal insulin pumps for pregnant women with diabetes. There are local editions of this sporting competition - and everyone is welcome to take part!
Lidia Niedźwiedzka-Owsiak, who is the director of the medical division of the GOCC Foundation, was awarded an Honoris Causa at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences. This recognition was given in appreciation of her commitment to upholding the highest standards in healthcare.
