Our charity played in aid of children's laryngology, otolaryngology, and head diagnostics. The fundraiser was organized with the utmost care for everyone's safety was a stunning show of solidarity, unity, and community spirit, which are all at the very core of our initiative. Even though coronavirus restrictions limited the scope of our activity, and put a stop to a massive community celebration we are used to, the Grand Finale still took joy associated with our fundraiser to the most remote corners of the world. There were 39 international Collection Centres playing in locations as remote as Singapore, Bali, Mexico, and the North Pole.
This year, we decided to resort to plenty of online forms of collection, but we still had plenty of volunteers collecting and fundraising in the streets. Our volunteers received face masks, gloves, and disinfectant liquid from our partners. We are delighted that we can rely on our partners and sponsors to support all the activists playing with our charity at some of the most remote corners of the world.
It is important to note that the result we announced tonight is the preliminary result of the collection, based on the results of the online collection, estimate offers made in our online auctions, and estimates of the collections sent to us by local Collection Centres. What is more, some fundraising options are still active, and you can bid in some of our auctions and donate through Facebook, for example.
Even though our Grand Finale 2021 was moved to 31.01.2021 to accommodate for the pandemic restrictions in Poland, we played beautifully, and joyfully, yet safely and responsible. Our main focus was to protect the health and well-being of volunteers, yet still keeping up the joyful, celebratory feeling that is associated with our initiative.
The fight against sepsis was the main aim of the 31st Grand Finale fundraiser which ended with over PLN 243 million raised. In less than a year, we have organized two Open Tenders to purchase medical equipment for microbiological laboratories across the country.
The registration of Collection Centres, i.e. hubs of volunteers organizing the Grand Finale events for their local community, is now over. Collection Centres will be actively participating in the 32nd Grand Finale fundraiser across Poland and in 101 locations around the world!
The 32nd Grand Finale concert will start playing in less than 60 days! Jurek Owsiak revealed the latest additions to the lineup for the event taking place on January 28, 2024 at PGE Narodowy meadows!
