We celebrate World Brain Day on March the 18th. The brain is the powerhouse of the human body, governing our emotions, moods, memories, senses. Brains make us who we are - beings capable of dreaming, hoping, imagining and creating. The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation bought equipment for PLN 29 553 988 in 2020 alone. Devices were donated to paediatric neurosurgery and neurology wards across Poland.
The medical objective of the Grand Finale 2020
Each of our fundraisers has a clearly stated, comprehensive medical objective. We want to buy medical equipment which will transform how medics work. We pull information from hospitals to see what equipment needs replacing and what devices must be bought to set new Polish medicine standards. Last year we raised money to buy, among many other medical devices, equipment for operating theatres. We donated equipment that doctors will use to conduct complex brain surgeries such as surgical navigation and surgical microscopes. We invested almost PLN 43 000 000 in state of the art medical equipment.

41 days before the 32nd Grand Finale and our annual collection is already peaking! PLN 1,108,427 has already powered our fundraiser held in aid of respiratory units across Poland!
