Temporary shelter for refugees in Warsaw
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation has teamed up with the Warsaw city council to establish a temporary shelter for Ukrainians escaping the war in their native country.
This year we focus on safety. We have rolled out plenty of socially-distance friendly donation options, encouraging benefactors to donate using digital fundraising platforms and online payment methods. Our generous benefactors can donate online and take part in exciting online auctions well ahead of the day of the Grand Finale. On the day of the Grand Finale, you'll find volunteers, who will be using wireless payment terminals to raise money. Rather than dropping money into a Collection Box, you will be able to donate cashlessly and safely at 233 different locations across the country and in 6 locations internationally.
Volunteers fundraising with terminals will be wearing white t-shirts, and payments will be processed according to all security protocols. Once you make your payment, you will receive a receipt bearing our logo. What is more, terminals display our logo as well.
You can donate using all debit and credit cards or mobile phone payments smartwatches, Apple and Google Pay.
How to recognize a Grand Finale volunteer?
Our volunteers will take to the streets to fundraise on the day of the Grand Finale on 31.01.2021. They'll be instantly recognizable.

We continue to support Ukrainians fleeing the war and one of the ways in which we help refugees in Poland is by equipping Polish hospitals, which admit and treat patients from Ukraine. Our charity bought and donated equipment for 15 towns in the country.
The digital PET-CT scanner is a device which allows highly accurate and detailed imaging of tumour foci in children bodies. This equipment purchased by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation for nearly PLN 16 mln is the most expensive machine in the history of the GOCC.
