Teaching first aid with local heroes

We have teamed up with the Volunteer Fire Department Association (Związek Ochotniczych Straży Pożarnych) to carry out our educational initiative. The aim of our CPR for Schools programme is to introduce universally accessible first aid and CPR training to primary school across the country. The Foundation has launched the programme in 2006 and we have trained 28 858 teachers, who in turn, teach the basic life support and first aid in 12 337 schools across Poland. Almost 3 million children now learn CPR at primary schools!

Volunteer firefighter departments can now join the programme - we will be providing the firefighters with instruction on how to pass their first and life support knowledge to children, and offering additional training, when necessary. There are over 50 thousand trained first responders among the volunteer firefighters and they are eager to participate in the educational initiative!
