A mural of a pair of worn-our bovver boots on a crazy colourful background and a word "Wander" will appear on one of the walls of student's residence halls in Łódź. This work of street art has been designed by Jurek Owsiak and bears his trademark style - colourful design is inspired by charity founder's stain-glass making background. Black - and - white bovver boots, which in Poland are associated with metalhead subculture of peaceful rebellion and free-spirited lifestyle stand out on the multi-coloured background. The message conveyed by a simple word - "Wander" - seems clear - be free and explore the world around you.
The mural has been sponsored by Mastercard, one of the friends of our Grand Finale charitable fundraiser. The company offered volunteers working at the Collection Centres and raising money for the charity an option of choosing their very own "priceless surprise". The company then went on to choose a project, which they would prepare and finance as a way of thanking people involved in charitable activities. Last year they organized a surprise concert for one of the Collection Centres and this time they will help volunteers brighten up their town!
We are waiting for the scaffolding to come down to see how the mural looks when it's finished, but it looks very good already!

On 22 May – nearly 4 months after the January fundraiser and 2 months after revealing the final result of the collection – the GOCC Foundation commences the 66th Open Tender to buy medical equipment for 169 laboratories across the country. The stakes are high!
Less than 60 days before the 32nd Grand Finale fundraiser, the Collection Boxes were presented during a press conference. Just this year, there were 226,000 boxes produced.
