Works of art from mBank

mBank is our strategic partner since last year and we now know that they are capable of surprising us in the best way possible. This year they prepared two great initiatives which are bound to help our fundraising initiative. 

The bank will be donating 40 works of art from its fine arts collection. What is more, our banking partner will be rolling out a special campaign, which will result in 2 000 000 PLN donation in aid of our charitable objective! 

Desa Unicum auctioning house will be holding an auction of 40 works of fine art donated by mBank. Among the paintings from the bank's collection are: "Jarmark w Bałcie na Podolu" by Józef Brandt (estimated worth 1 000 000 PLN), paintings from "Błękitne Miasta" (Blue Cities)  collection by Edward Dwurnik and "Szarża szwoleżerów w Samosierze" by Jerzy Kossak. 

The asking price for each painting has been set to 1000 PLN - which is estimated to be a thousand times less than these masterpieces are actually worth.  It also means that the auction is a phenomenon on the Polish fine arts market - open to people who usually would not be able to take part in such an event. The auction will take place on the day of the Grand Finale fundraiser. 

The bank has also decided to invite their customers to take part in the charitable initiative. "100 for 100" is a fundraising race. Rules are simple: if from December 25th till January the 13th the bank will register at least 100 payments made in aid of the charity, it will donate an additional 100 000 PLN per day. It is easy to calculate that in total, our charity might receive 2 000 000 PLN! 

Customers of mBank can also order a commemorative bank card, designed by Jurek Owsiak and make direct payments in aid of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation.
