Our Grand Finale Collection Centre from Bali played once again - this time in aid of their local community in Lombok, Indonesia. The volunteers asked our permission to use part of the money raised in their winter fundraising efforts to buy equipment for a local hospital. The activists, who have been working to make the collection a success, saw that their help is needed locally, and they did not hesitate. Even though their main objective was to support Polish medicine they could not be indifferent to the struggle of local, Indonesian health care. Local hospitals suffered in the aftermath of an earthquake.
The Collection Centre stated that its intention is to buy a modern ultrasonography machine for a hospital in the city of Lambok, which has been tragically affected by an earthquake.
Traditionally, on Fridays just before the Grand Finale fundraiser, the GOCC Foundation hosts a press conference to sum up the preparations for the annual collection. Jurek Owsiak will present all our initiatives, actions, and activities as we prepare to celebrate another edition of the joyous celebration of kindness!
The 32nd Grand Finale concert will start playing in less than 60 days! Jurek Owsiak revealed the latest additions to the lineup for the event taking place on January 28, 2024 at PGE Narodowy meadows!
Today we observe the World Spank Out Day (No-hitting, no-smacking, no-spanking day for children) promoted by the American EPOCH (End Physical Punishment of Children) organization, annually. It has been 20 years since the GOCC Foundation initiated the Teddy’s Tale – Don’t hurt me, love me! action aimed at raising the awareness among adults and children on the harmful effects of corporal punishments of the underage.
