First million in aid of the 32nd Grand Finale!
41 days before the 32nd Grand Finale and our annual collection is already peaking! PLN 1,108,427 has already powered our fundraiser held in aid of respiratory units across Poland!
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity purchases equipment in the process of an Open Tender - where the representatives of our Foundation, aided by the experts in fields of medicine and medical science examine medical equipment and quiz producers about features of the equipment as well as warranty periods. Lawyers get the chance to negotiate the prices and other details of the purchase, too. Even though the Open Tender procedure is a lengthy process, it allows the Foundation to choose equipment from vendors, who, apart from a competitive price, offer the best quality.
After three days of intense business negotiations and discussions about the warranty periods and careful consideration of the technical aspects of each piece of medical equipment, the board of the Foundation decided to purchase equipment for over PLN 160 000 000, or EUR 25 000 000!
After a record-breaking Grand Finale, the time has come for a record Open Tender medical shopping. We spent PLN 106 000 000 on medical equipment - it's amazing! That's how we spend the money we raise and we celebrate civic society and show everyone the importance of work of non-governmental organizations in Poland. We have been able, yet again to support Polish medicine in a way which is truly unprecedented. We buy top-notch equipment, the best and most advanced devices in the world. We would like to thank all our benefactors, who decided to donate their money to our cause. Today, 4 months after the Grand Finale, we can say - the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity did not fail your trust. You will be able to see for yourself soon! - Jurek Owsiak, chairman of the board of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation.
The charity bought 55 devices:
