This year's edition of our Get Even with Diabetes Run takes on an entirely different and new shape - each runner can register online and participate in the online edition of the charitable race. You can run, walk, jog, or even take your scooter for a spin, provided that you'll cover a distance of at least 5km.
You can register online and donate PLN 50. You will receive an orange t-shirt, a commemorative medal, and other gadgets. Your donations (which can be more generous than the PLN 50!) will all go towards the purchase of personal insulin pumps for pregnant women with diabetes.
The main objective of our run is, apart from raising awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle, is raising funds to buy personal insulin pumps for pregnant women with diabetes. Our charity has launched an initiative to led super-modern insulin pumps for women with diabetes type 1, who are trying for a baby or are already pregnant. Personal insulin pumps can be used to regulate insulin levels helping women have a happy, healthy, and stress-free pregnancy. Up to date, we managed to purchase 100 personal insulin pumps, which were donated to clinics across the country.
