You must have seen the members of the Peace Patrol, provided you ever went to Woodstock Festival Poland. The Patrollers are all volunteers, working as stewards at the festival - they help hold this massive event and take up different roles, ensuring that the festival-goers are all safe, and can enjoy their time at the festival to the fullest. You can recognize them by their red t-shirts and cheerful disposition. The volunteers are also taking part in different events and initiatives organized by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation, such as Grand Finale charitable collection.
Everyone can join this vibrant, diverse group of activists and friends. And there is no time like now!
There is only one condition - you have got to be 18 years of age to volunteer at the festival, but you can be underage when taking part in the training. The training course is an adventure in its own right and some participants even cite it as a turning point in their lives. The schedule is very intensive - it begins on Friday and continues throughout the entire weekend. The course incorporates elements of survival, leadership and first aid training. The participants also learn about health & safety regulations and work on their team-building skills. More information about the course and voluntary service with the Peace Patrol can be found here.
The next training course will begin on February 23rd and will end on February the 25th in Szadowo Młyn, in northern Poland.
