The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation is committed to providing help to the Ukrainian hospitals affected by the war. The charity has set aside PLN 35 million to purchase medical equipment, supplies and single-use things such as bandages and PVCs. We also aim to provide much-needed support to hospitals in Poland, which admit patients from Ukraine.
One of the first activities undertaken by the charity was the purchase and delivery of medical equipment to the children's hospital in Rivne in the Lviv region in western Ukraine. More deliveries are planned for the coming weeks.
Regional Neurosurgery and Neurology in Uzhorod received 49 medical devices for PLN 338 577
Apart from medical devices, the hospital received medical supplies such as bandages, syringes, and other single-use medical supplies such as face masks. What is more, we were able to donate very useful equipment such as sleeping bags, torches, and sleeping mats. Overall the hospital received support for PLN 539 117,09.
Regional Children's Hospital in Rivne received 15 medical devices for PLN 919 739,50.
