Successful Purchase for Pulmonology: Summary of the 72nd Open Tender

2024-10-02 14:25:00

The GOCC Foundation has successfully completed another significant purchase in support of pulmonology, the main focus of the 32nd Grand Finale. Between 30 September and 2 October, the Foundation held the 72nd Ope Tender, leading to the acquisition of vital medical equipment for hospitals across the country.

The Open Tender is a rigorous process aimed at selecting the highest quality equipment—devices that not only perform reliably in real-world hospital conditions but also deliver precise medical data, ensuring the best possible care for patients.

Each piece of equipment undergoes a thorough three-stage evaluation. In the first stage, the committee receives an initial presentation of the offer. The second stage focuses on a detailed analysis of the contract specifics, and in the final stage, negotiations are conducted with each supplier to determine the unit price of the equipment.

  • 52 stationary polysomnographs from MEDISOFT
  • 69 devices for transcutaneous measurement of SpO2 and pCO2 (tcpCO2) from RADIOMETER
  • 42 portable basic spirometers from REYNOLDS MEDICAL
  • 2 exercise testing machines with treadmill/cycloergometer from SCHILLER POLAND
  • 4 sets for the assessment of post-exercise bronchospasm in children from SCHILLER POLAND
  • 37 FeNO devices (for measuring nitric oxide in exhaled air)—children's equipment supplied by PRO VITA POLAND, and adults' equipment from REYNOLDS MEDICAL
  • 5 diagnostic devices for testing the LCI lung clearance index in children from MIRO

Looking ahead, in December, we will organise another Open Tender dedicated to pulmonology. During this next round, we will select equipment for LCI lung clearance index testing in infants and modular kits for respiratory function tests, which were not procured in the current procedure.

32nd GOCC Finale for Pulmonology

As part of the 32nd GOCC Finale, themed "Post-pandemic lungs," we raised an incredible PLN 281,879,118.07. This year's focus on pulmonology led to two prior Open Tenders: in June, when we purchased 324 devices for PLN 64,920,319.03, and in July, when we acquired videobronchoscopy and endobronchosonography sets—35 units in total—at a cost of PLN 17,109,282.04.
