The late mayor Adamowicz's online collection box is the best proof of the enduring power of solidarity. The result of the collection surpassed expectations - nearly 16 000 000 PLN raised. And it all started with a goal of a modest 1000 PLN...
We have been playing with our friends at Mastercard for 6 years in a row, and every year they surprise us with new creative ideas and ways in which we can make the fundraiser more effective and more fun for our volunteers. Let's see what they came up with this year...
We have teamed up with Mastercard to create a brand new option to create an online fundraiser, which is tailor-made for our volunteers. Those of you who can't wait until January the 14th to collect money to ensure that all babies born in Poland have equal access to medical care, you can already begin collecting money using your very own very own eCollection Box and help your friends send a digital Light to the Sky by donating.
eCollection Box & "Light to the Sky"
This online Collection Box is fully integrated with your individual volunteer's account in our database. You can share the link with your friends and use social media to promote your efforts. The funds you raise both offline and online will be added together to create your personal fundraising tally.
- How to launch your personal eCollection Box and be able to send Light to the Sky?
You should log into your iWolontariusz account and launch the application. The control panel allows you to manage the sum you have raised, a personalized link you can share with your friends, encouraging to support your fundraiser. You can also choose a priceless surprise for your Collection Centre - and perhaps you and your friends will receive a gift from Mastercard?
You can also tell your friends about an online public collection held by means of online eCollection Box.
Every benefactor can send their very own light into the sky - and share the message online as well. Payments made with Masterpass will be matched by Mastercard!
eCollection Box at the Parade Square in Warsaw
For the fans of digital charity, Mastercard prepared an eCollection Box which will be displayed at the Parade Square on the day of the Grand Finale. Donations can be made with credit cards - very useful for those always short of change! Each individual donation equals one digital spark sent into the sky.
Mastercard would like to show the appreciation for the volunteers' commitment to their work. Each volunteer will be able not only launch their own eCollection Box, but also decide what priceless surprise they would like their Collection Centre to receive from our friends at Mastercard. They will choose the most creative answer.
This initiative is an unquestionable viral hit. Each unique post with #MastercardgrazWOSP will equal 5 PLN donation in aid of our charity. In previous years we managed to raise 650 thousand PLN together!
POS instead Collection Boxes
Especially for those always struggling to find spare change Mastercard provide our volunteers with POS devices so that they will be able to accept donations made with credit cards. Volunteers with POS devices will be fundraising in 70 locations across the country.
