Today we observe the World Spank Out Day (No-hitting, no-smacking, no-spanking day for children) promoted by the American EPOCH (End Physical Punishment of Children) organization, annually. It has been 20 years since the GOCC Foundation initiated the Teddy’s Tale – Don’t hurt me, love me! action aimed at raising the awareness among adults and children on the harmful effects of corporal punishments of the underage.

We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of registering our Foundation. Can you believe it? The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation was registered exactly on 2 March 1993.

The 31st Grand Finale is not just about local events or the main concert in Warsaw! Each year we do our best to make it possible for everyone to join our Orchestra from every corner of the Earth!

This year’s theme of the GOCC Grand Finale declares a fight with sepsis, a severe life-threatening medical condition. The latest WHO’s research shows that it may be the main cause of deaths in the world.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation has teamed up with the Warsaw city council to establish a temporary shelter for Ukrainians escaping the war in their native country.

Our charity allocated PLN 20 000 000 (EUR 4 400 000) to support Polish health agencies fighting coronavirus outbreak. We will donate 50 thousand sets of personal protection equipment, 150 ICU beds, and machine for Covid-19 detection.

The biggest non-governmental organization in Poland begins a day of fundraising with a record sum of money already in their account - 11 000 000 PLN raised before the fundraiser began!

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has purchased nearly 3 000 pieces of state-of-the-art medical equipment for neonatal units across the country. The charity has bought this equipment for 45.542.821,39 PLN (over 10 000 000 EUR).

Jurek Owsiak, the chairman and the creator of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation, picked up the European Citizen's Prize on behalf of the entire Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation.

During the 50th Open Tender, we have signed contracts to purchase almost 5 000 pieces of different equipment. Medical experts purchased equipment for paediatric and neonatal units as well as pull-down beds and recliners for parents, who stay by their children's side.

The Board of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation decided that this year the charity will be using the funds raised through 1% charitable tax donations to support the child and adolescent psychiatric facilities.
