The GOCC Foundation has just completed the three-day-long 66th Open Tender held to buy medical equipment for the fight against sepsis. The Foundation spent a record-breaking amount of PLN 168 million!

On 22 May – nearly 4 months after the January fundraiser and 2 months after revealing the final result of the collection – the GOCC Foundation commences the 66th Open Tender to buy medical equipment for 169 laboratories across the country. The stakes are high!

On 9 May in Poland, we celebrate the Ophthalmologists and Ophthalmology Day – a very special date for the GOCC Foundation. Since 2001 we have run the Prevention of Retinopathy of Prematurity Programme!

On 4 April 2023, the GOCC Foundation held the first Open Tender this year. This time, the equipment was purchased i.a. to support the children's eye medicine. Devices for nearly PLN 17,058,238.40 will be delivered to 75 facilities in 56 cities.

Three decades went by in a flash! Although it’s 30 years since the first Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, we still remember how a spontaneous charity action turned into a fantastic worldwide initiative!

Research shows that prematurely born babies struggle to breathe, so non-invasive methods of support, which are safe to use on vulnerable babies, are vital in providing care and treatment.

Quality, not quantity – this is one of our Open Tender’s main objectives. Under the committee of experts, we purchase the medical equipment for Polish hospitals.

We are so very proud! The most expensive machine in the history of the GOCC, the first PET-CT scanner in Poland for children, allowed for screening of 100 patients so far.

The digital PET-CT scanner is a device which allows highly accurate and detailed imaging of tumour foci in children bodies. This equipment purchased by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation for nearly PLN 16 mln is the most expensive machine in the history of the GOCC.

We have summed up the 57th Open Tender, where we focused on the purchase of medical equipment for children's heart surgery and anesthesiology. We bought 242 medical devices, which will be donated to hospitals in 23 cities across the country.

Our charity has bought medical equipment for children's neurosurgery and neurology, buying sophisticated devices used to diagnose and treat complex conditions and diseases involving the central and peripheral nervous system.

We would like to celebrate World Kidney Day and remind you about all the work we had done to help children struggling with nephrology conditions. Overall, we have bought 1 034 pieces of equipment.

The state-of-the-art PET-CT scanner, which will be donated to the Memorial Children's Hospital in Warsaw, was bought at the 54th edition of Open Tender. The device, worth PLN 16 000 000 will be the first digital PET-CT scanner used to diagnose children.

PET / CT scanner is a highly advanced diagnostics device in treating children. The facility, worth over several million PLN is the first machine tailored to diagnose the youngest patients. The purchase will be made as part of the 54th Open Tender held by our charity.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has oficially summed up its activities and support of Polish healthcare which aimed to address coronavirus pandemic in Poland. Our charity has donated medical equipment for PLN 48 000 000.

Having raised a record sum of money, we have held a record-breaking open tender, where, assisted a team of medical experts, our charity has purchased medical equipment worth over PLN 160 000 000!
