The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is gearing up to hold another Open Tender and buy highly specialized medical equipment for children's heart surgery and devices for anesthesiology, Our charity aims to buy equipment for public hospitals nationwide. The funds used to buy equipment have been raised at Grand Finale 2020.

Our charity has been fundraising for almost 30 years. In the 29 years of our activity, we managed to raise an impressive sum of over PLN 1.5 billion! Let's see how the fundraiser progressed from the very beginning of our work up to the new, record-setting result of the 2021 fundraiser.

We have raised PLN 210 813 830, 10 (EUR 45 993 068,79). The money, which we raised despite the pandemic restrictions, will be used to buy medical equipment for children's laryngology, otolaryngology, and head diagnostics.

One of the elements which created the amazing atmosphere of this year's edition of our charitable fundraiser was our Get Even with Diabetes run. Despite COVID-19 restrictions, we held a socially distanced version of the annual race. Money raised by runners will go towards the purchase of personal insulin pumps for women with diabetes.

Today we celebrate World Hearing Day, an occasion that is meant to raise awareness of hearing defects, promote preventive healthcare and early diagnostics of hearing defects. We run the most successful and effective Hearing Screening Programme - we've screened 6 529 602 babies since the start of our programme.

PLN 127 495 626 is the preliminary result of our Grand Finale fundraiser. Today, at 16:00 sharp the sum in our account has caught up with the preliminary result we announced at midnight on the day of the fundraiser. The count will continue until March 29th, when the result of this year's collection is announced.

We have a great Grand Finale tradition - manufacturers of medical equipment donate devices to public hospitals nationwide, just to show their goodwill and desire to support universal healthcare in the country. Medical equipment was delivered to 11 hospitals nationwide.

You can still donate in aid of the objective of the Grand Finale fundraiser! Some of our digital fundraisers are going strong till the end of February, so it's your last chance to pitch in and help us buy equipment for children's ENT and head diagnostics.

Each year, at the very stroke of midnight on the day of the Grand Finale we announce the preliminary result of our fundraiser. The result is an estimate based on reports we receive from local Collection Centres, preliminary results from online auctions and internet fundraisers.

Our Grand Finale is a celebration of community, a testament of the fact that people want to help, want to take time out of their lives to volunteer and to change the world for the better. Let's look back at some of the most touching moments from the fundraiser.
